Alicia Rheal

With over 40 years of experience as an artist, I have dedicated my career to creating impactful visual art. My work as a muralist and painter spans theater, opera, ballet, and television. I have designed, produced, and collaborated with artists from around the globe, and my creations can be found in both public spaces and private collections. As an active “WallDogs”, I have served as designer, project leader, and painter for historic, stylistic murals supported by the organization.

From 2014 to 2022, I was the Director of Production for Dane Arts Mural Arts in Madison, WI, where I led the creation of murals that emphasized community involvement and youth programming. This initiative was rooted in fostering inclusion and broadening access to the arts through collaborative mural-making events and community-led designs.

Through Rheal Imagination, I have designed and painted murals and artwork for notable clients, including EPIC Systems, American Girl, AirPro, Mueller Sports Medicine, Walls of Wittenberg, Integrated Arts and the Bayview Foundation, among many other businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations.

In 2022, I expanded my artistic practice to include portraiture and quilting, focusing on creating mixed-media collaborative quilts alongside community members at the Creator’s Cottage and fellow participants in the Memory Collectors Storytelling Project - Fighting Alzheimer’s with Art. A project, and group of elders, near and dear to my heart.
